My name is Ben Roters and I am 8 years old. ( 9 On Sept 10th if anyone wants to get me a nice pressie ) Any way I have eventualy persuaded my Grandad to write a blog about me so I will give you a quick guided tour to bring you upto date

This blog is for when Ben goes to America with his dad and Jackie and will be updated when he sends us photos and text

The night before

Getting well excited, suitcase is packed and taxi booked for tomorrow

Day 1

Taxi arrived on time and now at the airport the plane is massive

I hope I get a window seat

This is my friend Amy

On the plane now and all ready for take off

Arrived at the hotel now and I am worn out, I can't wait to get to bed

Amy is already fast asleep

 

Wednesday 15.08.12

Woke up nice and early and having my first breakfast in America

We are now at universal studios and all the rides are brill

Check out sun glasses

Went on Simpson ride twice its fab

Sponge bob house under the sea

Roller coaster ride

Now for a cool down at the water adventure course

 

Thursday 16.08.12

More rides and more rides it's brill

Nana & Grandad the swimming lessons paid off

I'm having a competition with my new friends

This is Harry Potter land

Daddy refused to go on anymore rollercoasters, said he didn't feel well, think it was something to do with all the beer he had, so I joined Aimee and Andy!

Friday 17.08.12

Went on a air boat today, flying through the swamps looking for crocs

Phew my armpit smells, I think it's bath night tonight

Nana and Grandad are a bit worried as we have not had any more photos and are wondering if Ben has been gobbled up by one of the crocodile's

Saturday 18.08.12

Our fears have come true it's worse than Ben being gobbled up by a crocodile, Steven has had his mobile phone stolen so we might not be getting anymore updates until he returns ( gutted )

Bens now back from his adventure and hopefully will give his grandad some of his photos to add to complete this blog, but for now all he wants to do is catch up on his sleep.

The dinosaur area was wicked I could have spent all day in there until I got chased off by a tyrannosaurus rex, which was a very lucky escape.

Hello every one I've had a weekend with my granny and grandad, we went to "Crich tramway village" it's just past Matlock which took us 1 1/2 hrs but was well worth it.

That's me finishing my dinner on the move

It's a fabulous place to visit as you get to ride on the trams as many times as you want they also have different themed events throughout the year, last time I came it was a Halloween event which was well spooky. There's a gift and sweet shop here, I bought a "Wonka bar" and you will have to wait until the end of this blog to see if it had a Golden ticket inside.

You can get to see all the different trams they have and visit the museum showing all the trams through the different ages, from the first horse drawn to the latest electric tram, they even had a tram powered by steam (grandad loved it).

We decided to take a tram to the end of the line, have some dinner then walk back to the village by the woodland sculpture trail which was tops.

This is where we had dinner, me and grandad had to run round the shelter to keep warm as it was freezing.

All in all it was a brill day and guess what?

I got a golden ticket in my Wonka bar so all I need to do is find out where the Wonka chocolate factory is?
